"Cultivates a rational scientific point of view and eliminates superstition." ~ Cube
Taught by Barcleo the Alchemist, science is one of the most affordable classes available. By teaching pure academics and scientific reasoning, classes in science expand on knowledge and cultivate rationality. Unfortunately, learning a lot of science shakes up people's faith and affects their energy to resist supernatural forces.

From a stat standpoint, Science classes are definitely worth taking. They give a lot of Intelligence for a comparatively low cost. The raises are huge from the first level itself, and they only get bigger with time.
There are a few caveats with this class though. It lowers Faith from the Adept level onwards. This is not significant at this level, but at Expert it's noticeable and on Master the reduction is quite large. To prevent Olive from being delinquent, you need to watch her Faith closely, and be prepared to give stress relief. You can combine this with Theology classes to offset the loss of Faith, but it's quite costly.
Also, it only raises one stat. To get a good score off your stats, you need to have several of them at good numbers; not just a few. Keep that in mind, and don't overdo Science classes, tempting as they may be. You don't want to raise Intelligence too much beforehand either if you plan on working at the bar for raising Conversation.
Science classes are good for using by the late game if you've raised loads of other stats highly and still have cash on hand. At the same time, many classes raise Intelligence so it may not be as game changing as a few other courses of action.
