Working at the Cabaret is a potential job in Princess Maker 2. Olive can work at the cabaret after she turns 16.
Description[]
Olive serves drinks and later participates in a bawdy song and dance show, which takes place at Baron Tellmark's legally run cabaret. It pays very good money and doesn't hurt her moral views, but the decadence of the job still affects her social skills, thinking capacity and control over emotions. It's also quite a burden for Olive to bear.
Recommendation[]
By far the most convenient and reliable way to raise Charisma, cabaret work is recommended over its counterpart at 15 years of age, the sleazy bar.
It does drop Intelligence and especially Refinement hard, and sure it's quite stressful even for 16 years of age, but you can easily gain a lot of Charisma just from some sessions of this and it pays really well. Just remember that it raises Sin which you need to deal with later (probably by sneaking in some Church work, or donating a part of her pay).
If you've been raising a lot of Refinement, you can still use it as long as you keep an eye on it and don't take her too often, you shouldn't be working for too long at a stretch here anyway because of the high stress. Intelligence is very easy to gain back from science and theology classes, especially master level ones, so it's not as much of a problem. Also remember that you need not only good Charisma, but also high Art to effectively make money from here.
If Olive works enough to get a raise here, she stops serving drinks and works as a dancer instead. This is the only part time job where she changes her actual work.
